Further, in terms of features, it comes with 2 spoke multifunctional steering wheel, ambient lighting, 10-speaker Canton surround sound system with subwoofer, etc. just to name a few. Apart from this, two-screen can now be seen on the dashboard. The first one stays reserved for a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Meanwhile, the other one on the centre console is there for the 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Multiple powertrains have been introduced for the global variant. To start with, the powerful RS variant will come equipped with a 245HP, 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine. It is the same motor that is also available on the Octavia RS. Other than this, there is a 150HP, 1.5-litre TSI and a 190HP, 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine. In India, the company will continue to offer a petrol lineup only. However, globally, it is available with a 2.0-litre TDI motor with two different tunes.
Further, all the engines will come mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG gearbox with an all-wheel drive powertrain as standard.
In India, the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq will go head-on against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, MG Gloster, Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace and Mahindra Alturas G4. Meanwhile, it is the Tiguan Allspace that directly competes with the Kodiaq.
