The Japanese automaker Honda has recently revealed the prototype of the all-new Honda Civic 2022 that can give an overview of the production model. Honda Civic is one of the oldest sedans of the company, its first model was launched in 1972. It’s almost been 50 years of the Civic. Honda said that this is the 11th generation of their iconic car that will be introduced somewhere in the next year. The company also says that this prototype is an exact representation of the original production model that will have redefined interior designs, exterior and safety features. The company is trying to minimize the drawbacks from the last versions of the car.
Talking about the body of the new Civic, the car has been improved by its front as well as its rear end. The front look of the car includes classic clean grills and sharp LED headlights that make the car look wilder and sporty. Apart from a few upgrades, the remaining body has the same athletic design. Dimensions of the car have been reformed a bit. The car is made to look a little shorter and wider than before to give a smoother look than the past versions. The rear end of the car has been made much bolder than before with larger split taillights. The darker finished lights aren’t sure to come in the production model. The spoiler at the back gives the Civic a more stunning appearance and even helps in aerodynamics. Dual exhaust has been given in the car to give a sportier look. The car has been equipped with 19-inches black wheels and detailed with solar flare pearl paint.
The interior of the car has been very decent and royal. The dashboard is mostly clear and has very fewer buttons or controls. The interior is designed like the all-electric Honda cars and looks very neat and smooth. The touch screen infotainment system has been settled at the top of the dashboard in between the driver and co-driver segment. The size of the touchscreen has been increased to 9.0 inches. This is Honda’s first car that comes with a digital instrument cluster.
Among the safety features, The current 2020 model gets the brand’s Honda Sensing suite of active safety equipment in all the variants. The new model is expected to be safer. Although Honda has notified that, new Civic will have “multiple new active and passive safety systems,” which includes upgrades to the lauded Honda Sensing suite.
The production model will be ready in the next year but the car will show up in the market in 2022. The coupe variant of Civic has been decided to discontinue. The sedan and R-hatchback models of Honda civic will have their next generation. The pricing has not been revealed yet.
