One of the most selling biker maker Honda Motors has launched its 125 cc beast globally. The new Honda CB125r is considered to be powerful competition to the 125 cc bikes segment. All the new technologies according to the price segment have been updated in the vehicle. The cafe racer bike has been recently revealed in Europe and has Euro-5 compliant engine with cosmetic streamline.
Talking about the launch of the vehicle in India, the chances are almost zero. It is unlikely to come to the Indian market. If we are in the racing segment, CBR 150 is already not showing a good sales response and therefore launching of a new Honda bike is on hold for now and there are no updates for the future. It is not expected to have a good response in India hence if it is launched someday, it will be priced roughly around Rs.1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
Honda has been trying to upgrade its bike’s look than the old models. It has given a class round headlight without a mask, muscle body looks, compact silencer and a smooth body shape. It is equipped with all LED lamps and LED instrument cluster. Overall the bike gives a retro look and looks fascinating.

The bike comes with dual disk brakes and the Nissan radial callipers are equipped with the front disc brake. The rear disk brake comes with a 220 mm disk. In the new upgrades, the one that is very beneficial and required is updated suspension which will improve the handling of the bike to a great extent. Apart from these, the normal key features provided in the bike are as follows:
- PGM fuel-injected engine
- Liquid cooling
- ABS with IMU
- Inner Pivot diamond frame
- 2-channel ABS
- USD front forks
- Tubeless tyres
The expected mileage that will be offered by the bike is 50 Kmpl claimed by the company and the power of 13.1 HP at 10,000 RPM and torque of 10 Nm at 8,000 RPM, that shows that it’s a package of looks and economy together. The bike has a premium built quality but is a bit light-weighted. The engine is very reliable and comes in four attractive colour options, i.e. BLACK, MATT AXIS GREY METALLIC, PEARL METALLOID WHITE and CANDY CHROMOSPHERE RED. Fuel tank capacity is 10.1L.
The new Honda CB125r will soon be available in all the global markets and could catch the path to success but still is unlikely to be introduced in the Indian market.
