Autonomous Driving sets a New Trend in Automobiles – Ford 150-Mustang 2021 and Mach-E

The USA along with the entire world seems to be looking forward to automatic cars. This could lead the automotive sector to the new standard of technology and will provide people with an exposure to the new world, a world of hi-tech. US-based companies like Ford, General Motors, Lexus, Tesla etc could be the top nominees for a new trendsetter.

Fully automated cars are not down in the market but companies are on the path of it. Various technologies like cruise control are ensuring the partial self-driving feature in the cars. This is a game of sensors and artificial intelligence. It is not an easy game to play, it could require heavy costs and hence the rates and prices will be high too.  Ford 150-Mustang 2021

Ford is coming with the new Active drive assist in the new Mach-E and 150-Mustang. This technology brings Ford one step closer to automated automobile technologies. This feature gives you real-time hands-free driving experience. It also enables expanded hands-free zones as per the customer patterns. This new driver-assist will be featured in these two Ford cars in 2021 and will and is included as a standard feature on certain models. The company expects a sale of 100,000 150-Mustang and Mach-E models in the first after launching. Everything depends on how affordable this feature would be for the customers.

The policies of the new Mustang have still not been completely revealed. If active drive assist is not kept as a standard feature the prices would be according to the competitors. For F-150, Active Drive Assist will be available as a part of the Ford Co-Pilot 360 Active 2.0 package for $1,595. The Ford Co-Pilot 360 Active 2.0 package is standard on F-150 Limited and for Mustang Mach-E, it will come standard on CA Route 1, Premium and First Edition variants. It’s also available on Select trims for $3,200 as part of the larger Comfort and Technology package, which includes features such as a 360-degree camera, heated front seats and heated steering wheel.

Ford has announced an update for serving this new technology, the customers that purchase Ford 150-Mustang or Mach-E, the new Active drive assist with front-facing camera and sensors will be provided through Ford’s Co-pilot 360 Active 2.0 package. The customers who are willing to purchase the software for $600 will be served with the feature through an ‘over-the-air’ update next year. These over the air updates are efficient and better than the old once. It’s quick, capable and improves the ownership experience. In the second half of 2021 customers will be able to purchase the hardware and software together.

The working of Active driver assist is based on cameras and sensors. It functions cruise control, lane control and speed recognition that allows you to operate your car in a totally hands-free mode. A front-facing camera keeps a track on the driver’s eyes to make sure that driver is paying attention to the road. It comes with hands-free zone driving that makes ease to drive for long distances on highways.

At the end of 2021, the Active driver-assist will hit the market and Ford may keep a subscription pack to unlock all the features of the software.
